It is a matter of great professional satisfaction to present Volume 5, Issue 1 (January–June 2026) of the Dental Journal of IGIMS (DJIGIMS). Since its inception by the Department of Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, DJIGIMS has steadily evolved into a structured academic platform dedicated to the dissemination of quality research and clinically relevant knowledge in dental sciences.
The journal’s growth reflects a sustained commitment to peer review, ethical publication practices, and scientific rigor. Each issue represents a collaborative academic effort, shaped by the critical engagement of reviewers, the meticulous oversight of the Editorial Board, and the scholarly contributions of authors from across the country. Their collective dedication continues to strengthen the credibility and academic standing of DJIGIMS.
The manuscripts processed and featured in the current issue address diverse and contemporary aspects of dental research and practice, including emerging technologies, refined clinical methodologies, and evidence-based approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes. Such contributions underscore the journal’s role in bridging research and clinical application.
I wish to place on record my sincere appreciation for the continued support and guidance of the Director, IGIMS, which has been instrumental in sustaining the journal’s academic vision. I also extend my gratitude to all contributors and reviewers whose commitment to excellence enables DJIGIMS to maintain high publication standards.
As Editor-in-Chief, it is my earnest hope that DJIGIMS will continue to serve as a reliable academic resource for clinicians, researchers, and postgraduate students, while fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation. The journal remains dedicated to advancing dental science and contributing meaningfully to the evolving landscape of oral healthcare in India and beyond.
